Building the messenger we wished existed
HushKey Messenger was born from a simple frustration: every popular messaging app requires you to hand over your phone number, stores unencrypted backups, and leaks metadata about your most private conversations. We decided to build something better.

Why HushKey?
We started HushKey after seeing journalists put at risk because their messaging apps exposed who they were talking to. After watching activists compromise their safety because cloud backups leaked their conversations. After realizing that even the “secure” messengers required you to broadcast your phone number to the world.
The technology to solve these problems exists. The missing piece was a team willing to prioritize user privacy above growth metrics, advertising revenue, and data monetization.
HushKey Messenger is that team's answer. We're building a messenger where security isn't an afterthought — it's the architecture.
Our Mission
To make truly private communication accessible to everyone — regardless of technical expertise, location, or threat model. We believe the world is safer when people can communicate without fear of surveillance, and we're building the tools to make that possible.
What We Stand For
These principles guide every decision we make.
Privacy Is a Right
We believe private communication is a fundamental human right, not a premium feature. Every person deserves to speak freely without surveillance.
Security Without Compromise
We never cut corners on cryptography. Every design decision starts with the question: does this protect our users?
Transparency First
Our protocols are open for scrutiny. We publish security audits, open-source our cryptographic libraries, and welcome independent review.
Community-Driven
HushKey exists because of the journalists, activists, and everyday people who demanded something better. Their feedback shapes every release.
